I didn't, I used an old English to Germany dictionary.
I am not joking when I say this but it said under Germany - "Deutschland also Bundesrepublik Westdeutschland and Deutsche Demokratische Republik Ostdeutschland."

You can lern vocabs by such sites but if you don't get the grammar you're lost =o

Well himmelrot, i don´t believe there are that many sites which can teach you speaking better German, but maybe you can find someone who´s nice enough to help you (maybe some "lessons" by using a messenger) As you can see here are many germans speaking English pretty well. The biggest problem would be the grammar.... and, yeah, who of us can really teach someone how the grammar of his language works?

Btw, it isn´t clear what you want to say with your signature. It´s really a bit offensive to have a picture of reichswehr soldiers decorated with the words "I want".

HaHa... "Ich Will" is a song by the left-leaning band "Rammstein".

The problem is, that Rammstein (which were very long called a nazi band) works with irony and misunderstandings, every single line of their songs for itself wants to be misconceived. If you just write this together with this pic, people think you to be one of those, whom Rammstein wants to kid with their songs.

Well, we are using for this sentences something more traditionell words.

"Was zum ...?" or "Was zum Henker?"

In English it could mean something like:

"What the...?" oder "What the deathsman/hangman/executioner ?"

It's more harmless, but it means the same thing.

ich habe derzeit ein dumpfes gefühl, was mir nahelegt, daß ein user ganz ohne angaben im profil und einem nicht ganz korrekten englisch tatsächlich nur zur belustigung hier postet. habe ich ja im grunde genommen nichts dagegen, aber es ist sehr erstaunlich mit anzusehen, wie einige hier darauf eingehen. :)

Wow sieht lustig aus, wie ihr versucht anderen die deutsche Sprache näher zu bringen. Ok beginnen wir mit der ersten Lektion. englisch-deutsche Beleidigungen und Ausdrücke. XD Das wichtigste ist wohl in diesem fall ´Fuck´ oder auch ´Fuck you´^__^". Ne echt lustig. Ok ist keine Beleidigung aber wieso meldet sich der jenige in einem deutschen Forum an wenn er diese Sprache nicht richtig beherrscht? Das stellt doch ein sehr große behinderung da sich auszudrücken oô. Naja, hoffentlich wird es bald besser.
